Sanyo eneloop batteries in digital camera?

has anyone used sanyo eneloop batteries in a high drain digital camera ? i know that they retain their charge much longer than normal rechargeable ni/mh batteries but do they provide longer shooting times than higher rated (say 2500ma/h) batteries ? the eneloops are only rated at 2000ma/h but all the advertising says that they drain slower & therefore provide more shots than higher rated batteries. i would like to know if anyone has any experience with these eneloops....both good & bad...thank you

  1. They last longer than my Nimh batteries on my DSLR.

  2. After using a different brand, I was told about the eneloops, and that is all I use now for my point & shoot.  They do last longer.  And I am so happy that they don't lose their charge out of the camera, as I carry a spare pair.  I am going to buy some for my external flash on my Rebel XTi.

I think you would be pleased with them, too!

  3. I've used them in my Rebel XTi with battery grip. They work well. Although I havent tried any other batteries in that camera other than the Canon batteries.

I have used these and Duracell and Energizers in my 430EX flash. Flashes are notorious for draining batteries. The eneloops do well from what I've seen. On par with the Energizers. The Duracells dont seem to last as long as either. All batteries I am talking about are rechargeables, NiMH.

I have yet to have an Eneloop "die" on me. The other two brands will eventually "die" to the point that you cant charge them anymore.
