Saracens extend their winger Chris Wyles stay at club prior to Premiership Final - Rugby
The United States national rugby union team’s winger, Chris Wyles, has signed a new deal with the Saracens to extend his stay at St. Albans, England.  Club officials have confirmed the signing of the contract extension on Tuesday
May 24, on the Sarries official website.
The squad has been having a good run in the Premiership so far. In the last match, Saracens defeated Gloucester Rugby to book their place in the finals. Saracens will play against Leicester Tigers at Twickenham on May 28, for
the premiership title.
Saracens finished second at the end of the round matches with the highest number of wins in the season for any team. Saracens won 19 out of the 23 games they have played in the 2010/11 Aviva Premiership season.
Stamford born Wyles made his international debut for the USA Eagles against the England A in 2007.  He is a utility back player and has played at both fullback and winger position. He has so far played 23 international appearances
and scored 28 points that includes scoring five tries.
Wyles has also represented USA Eagles and represented United States Rugby Union team during the 2007 Rugby World Cup. His exceptional performance impressed Eddie Jones, Springboks coach for 2007 Rugby World Cup.
In 2008, Jones took over as Director of Rugby at Saracens and signed Wyles to build a new squad. Wyles made his debut against the Sale Sharks on September 12, 2008. Wyles so far has played 68 appearances for the club at both
domestic and European levels and has scored 45 points.
The 27-year-old Wyles has termed the extension of the contract as one of the happiest moments in his life. Elaborating on the details, he said that the club management is planning something new for the next season and he is
happy to be a part of their plans.
Wyles said, “I have never been happier in my career. There is a special plan at this club, and I am very pleased to be part of that plan.”
During the Aviva Premiership 2010/11 season, Wyle has played a pivotal role in ensuring his teams place in the finals. He has played 26 games in the season for the Sarries and has scored 25 points. Most of the points he scored
came during crucial phases of the game.
Wyles has been an exceptional player for the national side also and his performance has helped the United States national rugby union team to qualify for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
