Sarah Morgan wins two gold medals in freestyle swims - 2011 Wyoming High School State Championships
Sarah Morgan of Laramie continued to impress Gillette’s arena with her blistering swims at the 2011 Wyoming High School State Championships in Wyoming, on Monday, October 31. Morgan grabbed Girls 50m and 100m freestyle titles.
Laramie’s young athlete, Sarah Morgan thrashed out Jones and Hayley Martin by hitting the finishing wall in a fastest time of 23.70 seconds to win the Girls 50m freestyle title. In the meantime, Jones claimed silver title in a mark of 24.62 seconds and the
bronze title went to Martin in a spot of 25.09 seconds.
Haley Hance finished fourth in a time of 25.25 seconds, while Ashley Sitz settled for fifth spot in a mark of 25.72 seconds. Finally, the sixth position went to Kendra in a time of 25.83 seconds.
Meanwhile, Carly Fuller topped Girls 50m freestyle B final heat by touching the finishing wall in a time of 25.48 seconds. Taylor Segrave picked second spot in a time of 25.88 seconds, while Sierra Nussbaum settled for third position in a mark of 26.33 seconds.
Additionally, the Girls 100m freestyle title was taken over by Sarah Morgan in a time of 51.58 seconds. Shaya Schaedler wound up second position in a mark of 51.84 seconds, while Julie Schmitt settled for third spot in a time of 54.81 seconds. Hayley Martin
claimed fourth position in a time of 55.23 seconds, while the fifth spot went to Hayley Hance in 55.46 seconds. Lastly, Mara Warburton Smith earned sixth position by thrashing the finishing wall in a time of 55.97 seconds.
Afterwards, Carly Fuller topped Girls 100m freestyle B final heat by claiming the finishing wall in a time of 55.19 seconds, while Ashley Sitz earned second spot in a time of 56.16 seconds. Kendra grabbed third position in a time of 56.66 seconds, whereas,
Taylor Segrave picked fourth position in 56.85 seconds. Moreover, Shakira Dohse earned fifth place honours by hitting the finishing wall in a time of 57.65 seconds and Payton Brilz settled for sixth place in 58.74 seconds.
