And, she requested those much criticized federal "earmarks" for an enormous amount of Federal money for her tiny town. You gotta be amused by the folks who criticize the government, but put their hands out and say, "Gimmee"

She gave the Federal Money back except for the part that was guaranteed to the State. And it doesn't matter that her spouse belongs to, or supports, another Party. A lot of American Marriages have two Party households. QUIT being scared(Palin won't bite you..lol) and go with the true facts and issues. Like how is Obama going to make 5 million jobs in the next 4 years. Where? how? Who? When? What jobs? SHOW US Senator, we are tired of hearing nothing but TALK!

The liberals, with their hands out and their "I'm an American, you owe it to me" attitude, have driven jobs, business and a few entire corporations to other countries.  Keep it up. Tax and spend. The wealthy Americans will retire and begin to move to Europe and South America. And the whole country will look like Gary, Indiana; Detroit, Michigan and East Los Angeles in another generation. And you will have no one to blame but yourselves.

Todd palin and their son Track are both registered Independent. They all left the AIP after she became gov.

While one of the "reserved" rights of the AIP is to make Alaska a commonwealth or independent "country" they will never do that.

27 million is acceptable. The town I live in got something like 18 million last year from the feds, and our pop is just under 4 thousand. It depends on what needs to be done in that town (ie, new school, post office, etc.)

Sarah Palin is as real as you can get. She is smart and has had more executive experience that obama, biden and mccain put together. which one of them have ever balanced a budget?? hmm? neither, they've never ran anything. much less run it good.

Palin Scrubbing Turns Up a Car Wash

ST. PAUL -- In addition to being a mayor and raising four children, Sarah Palin found time for another venture in her Wasilla years -- she was part-owner of an Anchorage car wash.

Palin and husband Todd each held a 20 percent stake in Anchorage Car Wash LLC, according to state corporation records filed in 2004.

The venture was not entirely smooth sailing, though. State records show the business ran into trouble with Alaska's division of corporations business and professional licensing after Palin became governor of the state in 2006.

A Feb. 11, 2007 letter to the governor's business partner advises that the car wash had "not filed its biennial report and/or paid its biennial fees," which were more than a year overdue.

The warning letter ( http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/p... )  was written on state letterhead, which carried Palin's name at the top, next to the state seal.

On April 3, 2007, the state went further and issued a "certificate of involuntary dissolution" because of the car wash's failure to file its report and pay state licensing fees.
