  1. No on the grounds that no one's seeking to appoint Palin to a lifetime position (which a Supreme Court justiceship pretty much is) and also that Palin is hardly being dragged out of obscurity -- true, only Alaskans probably knew she was their state governor, but still -- and already has political experience under her belt.  


  2. It's a pretty good analogy, except Bush at least knew Meirs well before choosing her.

  3. Or maybe Sarah Palin = Ronald Reagan.

    True, he had a few more years as governor - but what else did he have, that she hasn't got?  All his name recognition came from his years as an actor.

    She, like  Reagan, is not afraid to take on the bullies, kicks *** and doesn't even bother with the names.

    I'm ready now for this election!
