Sarah Palin as Mccain's running mate ?

Does anyone else think that the only reason that Mccain picked Sarah Palin as his VP is that he hopes to cash in on the voters that would have voted for Hilary because she is a woman, but don't support Obama? That he hopes to win the votes of the people who just wants to see a woman in the white house?

  1. No. This was actually a genius choice. It was never really about taking hardcore hillary supporters. She is pro-life and represents the exact opposite of what Hillary stands for. What does Palin bring to the table? Well, McCain needed to solidy his own republican base. She is a staunch republican. check. Obama is all about "change", yet he picked Biden. He said McCain is too much like Bush, yet McCain chose someone outside from Washington. Something Obama didn't do. check. They knew Democrats would come out jumping on this claiming inexperience. Which is ironic, considering Obama and his campaign said experience doesn't matter. And she is considered a reformer. And she could take the evangelical votes and possibly the blue collar workers. Something Obama has a hard time with. If Democrats complain about inexperience, it will be hypocrisy. If democrats say McCain doesn't represent change at all, it will be lies. Obama cannot even say McCain cannot reach across the aisle (even though he did in his acceptance speech) because McCain actually has a lower percentage of voting Republican than Obama has voting democrat. Basically, McCain is leveling the playing field but for what? Well, the debates are coming up. Something McCain is quite good at. And which Obama has a tough time with. That's my opinion at least.

  2. McCain made a wise choice....I'll take ethics, fiscal responsibility and integrity any day over experience. Ethics, fiscal responsibility and integrity are less harmful to my bank account.
