I am a former Clinton Supporter and I actually had contemplated not voting at all because I am disappointed that she didn't make it. However, when I read about McCain and now about his running mate Sarah Palin I get the shivers. Cindy McCain is a drug addict(once an addict, always an addict), and Sarah Palin opposes just about everything I believe in. So I decided that I will have to vote after all---I don't believe in big oil, I don't believe that global warming is a farce, I don't believe that a girl who got raped and gets pregnant from that rape should be forced to have the baby, I don't believe in guns, and I definitely do not believe in the war. It is shocking to me that a lot of Clinton supporters rather vote for McCain then giving their party loyalty and a chance. No one knows truly how good or bad Obama will be---but one thing is for sure: he has good ideas and he is on the right track. So what do you people think about Sarah Palin. Below is a link for you to look up a few things. I am hoping to hear from Clinton supporters how they feel about this. Please do not send junk, only serious answers please.

  1. -- I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine, and governor, you’re no Hillary Clinton ---

You have no idea how idiotic that line would be coming out of Biden's mouth.

She might respond = You are right senator, nor do I plagiarize the words of others.

  2. I say let them.

They will get what they deserve.

The smart Clinton voters won't vote for a woman who will vote AGAINST them.

They won't vote for a woman who doesn't stand on the same issues as their own candidate.

And how dare Palin use Clinton's words about the glass ceiling and then turn around and say that she couldn't imagine Clinton in the White House.

But if that's what some of Clintons' supporters want, then I say go for it.

    I'm not that stupid.

  3. I was batting for MacCain and still is..whether she pick a woman or a man as his runningmate. But as i commented before, I dont mind if Obama wins.

  4. When Obama launched his political career he solicited support from Bill Ayers a declared enemy of the United States.  Yeah I want more good ideas like that and those of his favorite author communist and Soviet sympathizer Frank Marshall Davis.  The Communist Manifesto sounds real good for this country.  What a crock.

  5. Not me.  I'm a big Clinton supporter.  But the suggestion that I would vote Republican just because they found a pretty female face to stand up next to McCain is insulting.  When I look at which party would be better for women, how can I not vote for the Democrats?

  6. If you gave anything about what Clinton stood for, you will not vote for McCain/Palin.

  7. I don't know...but Bill is. Did you see the clip of him when McCain introduced her. Dam funny stuff!

  8. You are one scary individual. You really don't have the foggiest clue what the real issues are, do you?

  9. Mccain will have to change his way of thinking before i will vote for him, He has agreed to much with Bush and that is why i am not voting for him.

  10. 18 million.

  11. If she’s only on the ticket to try to get disaffected Clinton supporters to cross over, it’s a bad choice. Joe Biden may already be practicing his drop-dead line for the vice-presidential debate: “I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine, and governor, you’re no Hillary Clinton.”

  12. This Democrat will be voting for John McCain, and Sarah Palin is just an added bonus. I have to give her credit, she has earned her name barracuda, and she will be Obama's demise. I lost every ounce of respect for Hillary, when she endorsed that scum bag Obama. Hillary sold her soul to the devil, but God sent us an angel. And good will always prevail over EVIL. McCain/Palin 2008.

  13. I'm voting my values and not my gender. Therefore, McCain will not get my vote.

  14. WOW, I'M A DUDE... BUT I LIKE THE QUESTION. MANY WOMEN ARE STILL ANGRY.. LITTLE HAS DISSIPATED SINCE THE PRIMARIES, ITS ESTIMATED 20 PERCENT OF CLINTON SUPPORTERS WILL NOT VOTE OR VOTE MCCAIN. THE NERVE THAT WAS STRUCK DURING THE PRIMARIES OBVIOUSLY IS A CONSCIOUS CHOICE U HAVE WEIGHED THE OPTIONS AND MADE A RATIONAL CHOICE. MANY WOMEN WILL CLAIM SEXISM AND OBAMAS INEXPERIENCE BUT ITS SEEMS ALL TO BE SOUR GRAPES.

  15. i was for either hillary or obama..

i thought they both had good ideas.

i do feel like hillary sort of got took because for years everyone was like hillary is gonna be president.. then its like barack came out the blue and took it.

but i will still vote obama.. hillary doesn't want mccain to win.

so i will listen to hillary because i am a fan of hers and i think obama is a stand up guy.

i think that the hypocrisy of this election is astounding.. because we were urged not to vote for hillary or obama just because she is a women or just because he's black. because it is sexist and racist and now mccain has the palin chick and the only reason she is there is because she is a women. she lacks experience, where did she come from?

she is only on the bill because it is getting closer to november and he is running out of strategies to get votes so he thought lure in the hillary fans by putting a women on the bill..

however i am not irrational enough to vote for him, others might be.

but if you think she is gonna run the oval office correctly if something happens to mccain you are kidding yourself.

  16. Your name says it all. You are terribly naive and your allegiance to Obama is misplaced. He's a socialist and unqualified to lead this country anywhere but into ruin.

  17. People who supported Hillary, hardly any of them supported her just because she was a woman, and would vote for ANY woman.  People supported Hillary because of her ideas, her political positions and opinions and proposals.  If Hillary is not a candidate for president, the logical thing is to support the candidate closest to her, which is Obama.

I don't think very many Democrats would support Sarah Palin.  She is everything they are against.

I think the Republicans desperately wanted Hillary to get the Democratic nomination, because they thought she'd be easy to run against.  She is easy to smear, and she carries the baggage of her husband's two terms.  When Obama cinched the nomination, then the Republicans wanted Hillary to get the VP spot on the ticket.

It was the Republicans who spread the rumor that Hillary followers would be upset if she didn't get on the ticket and that she might run as a 3rd party candidate, or her followers might vote for McCain just for spite.  I never heard that from a Democrat.  And Hillary didn't even -fight- at the convention, it was Hillary who proposed Obama be nominated by acclamation, unanimously.

But the Republicans are still spreading smears and rumors.  It's just how they work!

The selection of Sarah Palin was definitely not a serious ploy to attract  Hillary supporters because Palin is her exact ideological opposite.  Palin's selection was to attract the Christian Right, who were not any too pleased with McCain, but whose support McCain needs.  It was a gutsy and risky play, a 'Hail Mary' play.  Time will tell how successful it was.

Also notice the timing of the announcement, coming just at the apex of Obama's popularity, after that incredible show at the stadium.  It was obviously deliberately timed to push him off the front page.

  18. Sorry, but Palin is as far from Hillary on the issues as anyone can get.

I am all for women in power, but issues top gender any day. To vote for McCain/Palin JUST because she is a woman is an insult to Hillary.

  19. Not me..

  20. I hope none. Personally, I wasn't surprised when 1 in 10 Hillary supporters said they would switch to McCain (since as far as Democrats go, the Clintons are pretty conservative--her views especially on war and foreign policy line up more with McCain than with Obama). I didn't like that fact, but it made sense.

However, I think McCain's choice of Sarah Palin is nothing but condescending. He's counting on women voting for her simply because she has a v****a. Does he really think that the feminist part of the population is that easily manipulated? Trust me, Palin is no feminist.

Based on that information, and the fact that a large amount of Hillary supporters were middle-aged women, I hope McCain's VP choice will turn them towards Obama.

  21. This election was never about getting a woman into the white house.  This election is about us and what we want.  Clinton and Obama agree on 95% of the issues.  Clinton and McCain agree on 5% of the issues.  Any rational Clinton fan will still vote for Obama.  I could even see some not voting, but none should vote for McCain.

  22. Not me.  She is a right wing nut case.  Total against Main stream Americans.

  23. If you are a Hillary supporter, you would make a grave mistake by voting for Mccain. Not only is his vp inexperienced, but she represents everything Hillary was against. I know ya already know this. You are a very smart person :-)

  24. It is confirmed that 1 in 10 of Hilliary's supporters are switching to McCain. I believe that number will go way up after this weekend when the polls are back at it again.

  25. I loved the idea of having a woman for the first time in office.  I am an independent and voted for Hillary in the primary.  I am not a big Clinton fan, but Hillary redeemed herself to me because of her passion and commitment to serve. I also hated how Obama and the media treated Hillary. With the Palin appointment, I also find her fascinating and compelling and I will be supporting this ticket.  I don´t agree with all of her politics, as I didn´t with Hillary, but I love the fact she is a reformer and find her very appealing.  That's just my take.
