I'm an independent, but from a distance this pick ( Palin) looks like an attempt to get the disgruntled Hillary supporters... does McCain really think that Hillary supporters only supported her b/c she is a woman? it seems to insult the inteligence of women...

  1. Obama chose Biden to get white, blue collar workers (you know, the Hillary supporters).  .

  2. Absolutely.  It is a cynical choice and an insult not only to Clinton supporters but also to all the far more qualified potential candidates among Republican women--e.g., Kay Bailey Huchison, Elizabeth Dole and even Conoleezza Rice.

  3. It's like "Here you go, a woman. Now vote for me!"

  4. Your are absolutely right, this pick is an insult to women in general.

She has basically been pimped out for women votes.

I am no fan of either candidate but this is too much of an obvious ploy, even by todays standards.  Having her mention Clinton in her speech is really a mockery.

Women want a candidate who is a woman because she is qualified as president not because she will be used as a recruiting tool.

If he really wanted to just get elected he should have picked that little gymnast Shawn Johnson instead! Really though, he fumbled this by not picking Romney.

  5. if the  shoe fits,,wear it,,,,,,many women supported hillary merely because she wore pantsuits.

  6. Yes, but more importantly, it is another show of poor judgment on Senator McCain's part.

  7. It is, yes, an insult to intelligent women and to Hillary.
