Sarah Palin rumor - Is the liberal fringe messing with the wrong person?

Question

Up here in Alaska, it is well known that you don't get between a mother bear and her cubs.

Sarah Palin has proven to stand up to corruption and be bold. If the rumor is true or not, the cruel treatment of her daughter will give her another reason to fight for right with even more intensity.

It is a shame that in this country we have the precious freedom of speech, but some people waste their freedom on such low class attacks.

So, even if the rumor is true, is it worth it for liberals to push the issue? What benefit will they receive from it?

Just because she has a reason to be angry doesn't mean she's capable of fighting well.  She is a village mayor who's been promoted far above her competency.  And it isn't the "liberal fringe" that thinks she's a silly choice - this is the majority view among centrists and (more worrying if you're a McCain supporter) among women.

Finally, standing up to corruption in Alaska isn't that hard, since the Republican control of that state has created so much corruption to begin with.  I won't credit her for doing a tiny bit to stop the very corruption that her party is responsible for creating to begin with.  And considering that she went out of her way to help oil companies get out of environmental regulations, I can't credit her for much of all.  She can't be a mother bear when she wants polar bears taken off of the endangered species list.

No. First of all, Palin isn't "standing up to corruption"--she's one of the people in Alaska under investigation FOR corruption (and that's not a rumor).

I don't think so.  If she is lying, it would be very hard for her to be trusted with a leadership position.  If she is covering for her daughter, McCain's bid for the presidency would be pretty much ruined.  

Down here in the continental US, we don't believe in backwoods justice.  We will question whether the cub really belongs to the mother bear, and the mother bear will need legal justificaiton to retaliate.  Interesting analogy, by the way, considering Sarah Palin's stance on how mother bears with cubs should be treated.

Edit: Do a Google search for "Sarah Palin wolves and bears," and you will find many sites and articles referencing this policy.  I'll let you decide which is the most legitimate.  The site that convinced me was one with a letter petitioning Palin to stop the slaughter; the letter was signed by over 200 scientists and biologists.

I can't imagine that it is true for the following reason.

It is well known that they knew the baby had Down's Syndrome before the baby was born.

Amnio tests are not routinely done on 16 year old mothers.  Those are reserved for high-risk pregnancies, like over 40 mothers.

Furthermore, the picture I saw of the supposed pregnant daughter???  Well, if you know anything about photoshop, you will see that it is all doe with shadowing techniques.  Let's see a supposedly pregnant picture of the daughter in something other than a solid color shirt with the shadows artfully highlighting her "belly">

No one should be surprised when liberals attack innocent babies. After all abortion is a mainstay issue.

Throughout any blog attacking babies and children is what they do. It will turn people off to them and what they support. Decency and respect is rejected in their ranks.

The rumor is DEFINITELY not true regarding her son, Trig. It's so sad what they are saying - they are not only throwing stones at Palin herself but her teen daughter who happen be wearing something that is not quite flattering in one photo but all girls and women have those types of pics where we don't look the best.

This will definitely backfire on the liberals but in a way, it keeps them busy on something so insignificant. I mean, they are so busy investigating this ridiculous rumor. I guess they have nothing better to attack Palin on but on lies that they created.

I think they are. I think this rumor mill about the baby is just rediculous. All the girls in my family have that little bit of belly. My niece missed school for an entire school year with a bowel problem. I know lots of people who return to work quick. She is a governor for crying out loud. She has a freakin state to run its not like she can sit on her *** watching Days of our Lives for 6 weeks. Get off her *** and look at what she has done. And leave her daughter alone.

The liberal fringe is a desperate bunch and they prove over and over again that they're a classless bunch.  They will do anything they can to keep the microscope off of their "messiah".  Remember when the New York Times reported that McCain was cheating with a lobbyist when there was ABSOLUTELY no proof of such an incident?  They're already trying those low life tactics against Sarah Palin.  

There's been cover up after cover up by the liberal media for Obama and his many, very serious blunders.  There is no low they won't stoop to.  They are WICKED.  They prove, time and again, that they have no moral values, no christian values, no ethics, and the list goes on.  The liberal media networks betrayed the American people when they so blatantly jumped in the tank for Obama.  Nothing honest there and it would be fruitless to hope for anything better from them.  

This is going to be the most difficult time that Mrs. Palin and her family will have to endure in their entire life.  I'm confident that she's up to the task or she wouldn't have accepted the position.  My prayers are with her and her family as they are in for the ride of their life.

Listen, I'm an Ore/Wash transplant to Californa and can recognize a SOLID good leader when I see one. Having never heard of Sarah Palin before I can only say that she's blown onto the scene with SO MUCH CREDIBILITY and skill out of the gate that the small potatoes aspersions some may try to cast upon her character (or her daughters) will BACKFIRE with rifle shots that will be heard around this nation.

NO ONE CARES about minor issues. EVERY candidate who's been in politics TWENTY YEARS is going to have a few. As long as there are no convictions for crimes or improprieties the rumors will be dismissed for what they are ---- RUMORS.

Anyone who tries to discredit her stellar personal and professional attributes, which are a matter of record, will be hailed  "O ye wee little men."

Don't worry. Just keep posting Sarah Palin's positive actions.
