  1. No, we should teach creationism in public schools. OR can evolution, you choose. Plus, who cares how many kids she has? I 've not read that about her yet.

  2. School curriculum is not a responsibility of the federal gvt so it really doesnt matter.

When you are governor specific curriculum is part of your concern because states tend to set the general standards for school curriculum within that state.  As VP it wouldnt even be an issue that needed to be addressed because its just not part of the federal gvts job.

It would concern me more if she wanted the fed gvt to become more involved in education because the fed gvt should butt out of education altogether, but there is no indication that she wants to expand the fed gvts role in education so its a non issue, imo.

This is a pretty lame criticism and an excuse, I think, many Obama supporters that are atheists are using to just mask the fact that it has nothing to do with religion but with the support of many of their fairly liberal agendas.

The creation/evolution in school debate hardly affects anyone and its not like it really matters that much.  You take a couple of science classes in high school and most people that dont care about going into science or the subject hardly pay attention regardless of what is being taught, religious or not.

This whole issue is such a ridiculous issue to be concerned with considering all the real issues facing the country right now.

Ohhhh look all the Palin supportes get a bunch of thumbs down and the Obama supporters a bunch of thumbs up

Why do people pretend liberals and atheists are more willing and accepting of other points of views?

  3. nope,

    not worried at all.

    GO SARAH!

  4. I think it was an what is CHECK, yes I had known for about a year, and wrote to the GOP last year that a woman on this ticket to gives better chance of winning

  5. Divine frog has got it correctly.  Police state is comming.   Obama is using police state as a senator  to suppress  free speech.  And in case you have not seen him make sermons on pulpits and behind the microphones then you might want to.

  6. I'm hoping fear of Palin will spur Clinton supporters to rally behind Obama.

  7. I never expected conservative Republicans to have brains, after hearing about Huckabee, Tancredo, and Brownback.

  8. That is very, very scary. I hope you guys vote Obama.

  9. I support her stand 100%.  Can't wait to vote.

  10. That lesson would only be like 5 minutes long xD "God created everything. End of Class"

  11. wtf.  yes.  we should.

  12. I'm very worried and I'm a Brit. We seem to follow every stupidity that the USA goes in for.

  13. No use, Obama will win.

  14. I don't mind Creation being taught in public schools in a philosopy or a comparative religion class.

Unfortunately, she stated that she supports creationism be taught in science class.  It certainly is not science so I think that is a huge problem.

  15. It ain't ever gonna happen! Just make sure you guys count those votes properly this time!

  16. Being anti anything is quite sad.  Politics should not affect our seeing a person for who they really are.  I am with you, I am a strong Obama supporter.  I certainly would not vote for another Bush regime, which it would be if McCain is President.  However, this lady has one particular quality that I admire.  She is against abortion of a fetus, that has, for instance, Downs Syndrome.  This is because she gave birth to a Downs Syndrome child herself and refused to have the baby aborted.   I am for pro-choice, and she is against abortion for any reason whatsoever, which I do not agree with.   You must give her credit, however, that she gave birth to a child, that she loves and cares for, for has Downs Syndrome.  I have heard from many that having such a child is a blessing, because of the unconditional love  and innocence of a child with D>S>

When we look at politicians, we should not pull them to pieces on everything.  They too are human, they too make mistakes and they to make good choices.  I would not vote for her, but I also admire her for some of the choices she has made in her own life.

  17. Is it...

Oh woe is me... Sarah Palin supports teaching creationism in public schools?

If so, let me remind you that creationism was taught in public schools for the first 180+ years this country existed. In fact the first public schools in this country were started in churches and the first universities were Christian universities.  During all that time our nation thrived and we were respected the world over.

    Or is it...

Oh woe is me... Sarah Palin has 5 kids?

Amazing.. and they were all fathered by her one and only husband too. But, I have to wonder how the thought of an intelligent woman who isn't afraid of being a mother worries you so badly. You know, not all women are devout members of N.O.W. or so dedicated to their careers or their "sexuality" that giving birth is something that needs to be limited to the numbers 0 through 2.

And here I thought republicans were supposed to be the "fear-mongers".

    NObama you can't!

    Not now!

    Not ever!

  18. She's also rabidly anti-choice, anti-g*y, anti-freedom of religion (for anything other than fundamentalist xianity) and anti-environment, but as you can see from the answers above mine, some people see her backward viewpoint as a positive instead of the negative that it is in truth. Obama supporters, beware this wolf in sheep's clothing. She is more of a threat to a positive, forward result from this election than you think she is, unfortunately.

FWIW, a person's family size has no bearing on their politics, most times. I have four kids and I'm pro-choice, pro-birth control, pro-environment, and quite the liberal little atheist thank you.

  19. I agree. McCain really screwed up this time. I'm a McCain supporter but that was just stupid of him.

  20. Depends on what kind of Creationism-7 literal days or 7 thousand years.

  21. I think choosing her guarantees Obama's win.

I'm not even a big Obama supporter (Nader <3) but I'm hardcore anti-McCain as well.

  22. Think this way. We don't want our kids to be brainwashed by Creationism - of course not! We should not force Creationism upon children in public schools. But in this world, we can surely equip them to know about EVERY view point, from both secular and non-secular views. Therefore, the most practical way of getting around this would be: we should not teach Creationism in schools, we should teach ABOUT it. As we should not teach Creationism as the ultimate truth, we should not teach evolution as the ultimate truth, either.

Let the students decide from the evidence given. Otherwise, are we not just telling them what to believe, and forcing them to believe it?

But it should be taught with no bias, neither FOR evolution nor FOR Creation. Also, to be completely fair, we should include other religions.

But even if that is the way to please the greatest number of people and compromise, I am a Christian myself and staunchly support teaching only Creationism in schools. However, that's not possible in today's world, and I fear the only way to squeeze Creationism into public schools is as I outlined it above.

  23. I think that those that fight against creationism are hypocrites They seek to deny others the freedom to speak what they believe, yet they think they should be able to teach what they believe.

  24. I'm very happy about it  :)

  25. Fortunately the VP does not have much say about school curriculum.  Remember Dan Qualye and his creative spelling of potato?

  26. No. I think it is great.I was not going to vote, but but now I know McCain is going to be a great president
