Former Pakistan pace bowler, Sarfraz Nawaz, who was given the responsibility of fine-tuning the current crop of quicks ahead of the Asia Cup, is hopeful that the pack will give a better performance in the upcoming quadrangular tournament.

“People will be able to tell the changes in the fast-bowlers,” said Sarfraz while speaking to a leading Pakistan newspaper, The Express Tribune.
“I’ve worked with them on a number of aspects including removing some technical flaws. As far as fast-bowlers are concerned, I’m confident of a good show from them in the Asia Cup,” he added further.
During his short stint with the Pakistan team at the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, Sarfraz worked with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wahab-Riaz-c95839 and bowling all-rounder Hammad Azam. The four-day training camp, conducted at the NCA, will end today.
The 63-year-old former Pakistan pacer, who is working as a fast-bowling consultant at the National Cricket Academy, said that the bowlers showed improvement during the short training camp and he hopes the development will be felt when the young pacers take
the field in the regional one day tournament next week.
The inventor of reverse swing revealed that he had suggested to Wahab Riaz that he should alter his run up for better results and it has worked in his favour.
“He often looked uneven but from now on he will be bowling with a comparatively longer run-up. He has improved a lot and hopefully he will be more useful for Pakistan.”
Pakistan Cricket Board is looking for a specialist bowling coach to fill the position after Aaqib Javed, but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Stuart-Clark-c2591 said that he cannot be the fulltime bowling coach due to his personal business commitments.
