Sarfarz Nawaz, former pace-man for Pakistan, openly alleged PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf's advisors of misguiding the chief in his attempt to make independent cricketing policies.
“Wrong advisers may let down Pakistan and PCB chief with their wrong thinking and approach,” the former Test pacer said in a candid chat with a private TV channel on Sunday night.
“But events like the highly successfully Champions League in Karachi has foiled the attempts of certain PCB officials,” he said.
The statement came out after organizers in Karachi clashed with the Pakistan Cricket board after the PCB issued a statement, saying that all cricketing tournaments will be under their direct supervision, and a need to attain a Non-Objection-Certificate is
mandatory for any tournament to commence legitimately.
PCB provided two arguments to back their claim; the first being that players opted to play in unauthorized domestic tournaments rather than participating in PCB initiated competitions. The check on all the leagues will help monitor players.
