Saskatchewan Roughriders start season with a 4-0 record?

what are your thoughts?

they just beat montreal for their fourth straight win, to start the season 4-0

i thought they would suck this year with the loss of their head coach and star players.

Living in Regina, I'm surprised a bit, but HAPPY AS h**l!. I think it just goes to show you that Tillman knows what he's doing and that we have a great team. It was a nail biter tonight, but we came out on top.

The way some calls went in the last few minutes of the last two games the could very well be 2 an 2.

Well, in a year where the Eastern Division is pretty weak, they just barely beat two eastern teams in the past two weeks.  The West is strong right now, and it'll take more games against Calgary, BC and Edmonton to show how good the Riders really are.

One thing is certain, though: Darian Durant should be their starting quarterback for the rest of the season.  Crandell is a career backup, and they'd be going nowhere with him.

As a 'Riders fan, I can honestly say I'm not surprised. They have depth of talent, for sure. Everyone was all worried in the off-season ... it started when Kent left for Ole Miss, then people questioned Eric Tillman's line-up changes. Hello?! The man is brilliant, and he makes the switches with more in mind that just the right then and there. He's got it under control. I knew the 'Riders would be a contender for the "Coupe Grey" in Montreal ... a repeat contender, for sure. They are definitely the team to beat!

last year was just warm up, this season is the real challenge

I was not one of those people who mourned when Kerry Joseph left the team. Last year, I was frequently disappointed in the number of times the offences he led went three-and-out. Over and over and over.

Darian Durant has been an exceptionally pleasant surprise. Some people near me at Saturday nght's game were hoping that Crandell might fit into some sort of a supporting role ... so well is Durant playing.

Wes Cates continues to surprise. I thought the Roughriders miexd up their plays and receivers quite skilfully. The defence continues to go from strength to strength.

The Argonauts awaiteth. Worrisome.
