  1. An external attena may help.  Big buildings in the city or mountains will block the signal

  2. get antenna checked

  3. What kind of car are you using it in? It may well have a "solar" screen. This is a coating applied to the glass to cut down  U.V rays and heat. This can shield the signal.

A heated front screen shouldn't interfere with the signal though.

  4. Is it behind a heated or heat reflective screen? If so an external antenna may be required

  5. On my system the sensor links to the display (PDA) via bluetooth.  This means I could use it without messy cables - just rely on the sensor and PDA batteries.  However,   I've found that if I don't use a cable then the system is less reliable.  I suspect that this is because the battery voltage gets too low for the sensor to send a good signal to the PDA.

  6. Tall buildings, tunnels, bridges, trees, hills, "metallised" windscreen, anything that obstructs the signal.  Try an external aerial.

  7. Do you have a big stereo system?

Did you ad any up grads to your engine?

If not most likely a short or lose wire.  Or the hole dam thing.
