I am thinking about getting a satellite radio. I don't have much knowledge about them so i was wondering what the best type is (all i know is xm and sirius). Also, is there a charge after time (every month or year etc.) and if so what type of radio has it, how much etc.

  1. I have been a very happy sirius customer for 4 years now. (and im hard to please). Great channels. good recption most of the time. I pay in 6 month intervals. So i pay like $70.00 dollars every six months. and they bill you a head of time. and wont turn off your service unless you request it. Its the best investment i ever made. DONT DO XM. Its cheep every one says so.

  2. XM and Sirius are the only two companies available in north America for satellite radio service. There is a chance the companies will merge and share specific channels but for now they are independent.

There is an activation fee for either service and a subscription fee that can be paid monthly, quarterly or yearly.

    Plus equipment to purchase.

Do a Google search for XM and Sirius and listen to selected stations for 3 days for free. That should help you decide3 which service is best for you.

  3. XM all the way it comes out so perfectly clear, and it's got so many better stations. go xm

  4. Sirius rules. plus they are ready to but out xm so don't go through the hassle of buying an XM radio now. is $12.99 a month but well worth the money plus you get stern, no commercials and no censorship from the FCC. i never listen to my car radio any more plus you can play Sirius on your computer when you sign up. http://www.sirius.com/

they are having deals on radios right now.

  5. I have xm in both of my cars, & I listen to it on my computer all the time. I REALLY like xm!!!

Both xm & sirius make you pay to listen, you can pay monthly, yearly, or multi-yearly

  6. I have Sirius and I love it.  I have traveled with it and all the stations come in very clear.  There is a service fee with both companies.  As far as I know you can pay monthly, yearly or like 3 times a year.  You'd have to look into both and make a decision for yourself as to what stations you want.  I hope this answers your question.
