How hard can it be to for a person to get a satellite dish installed. Apparently my apartment is facing the opposite direction from the southern sky in which the satellite signals come from. Now I'm on a mission to find an extension arm and nobody seems to know where I can get one. The dish company has absolutely NO answers and NO solutions. Could it really be this hard in this world to find a solution to installing a satellite dish? Please help!

  1. line of site to the satellite has to be there or no dice. dish net or directv isn't going to provide a custom arm or install to one that you've provided. i have to turn down several installs a week due to trees or balconies facing the wrong way. Its a free install and there is only so much that can be done. make sure you have permission from the manager to put up a dish so your not locked into a commitment with no service. If there are other dishes near you ask if you can tie into theirs, even if they move they will be leaving the dish behind. you may have to purchase a multi switch if said dish is using all the ports. if so just buy one, don't mention it to the csr, just let the installer know and have the dish owner there to confirm its okay with him. if your a good tipper, he will take care of you

  2. my dad puts up satellites.

    hes blind..and he crawls under

    houses and ****.

so just find someone local who can

do it. it shouldnt be that hard.

    we have dish network..and

they HAVE to install it free.

so id call em up and be like.

come hook this beast up or

    im getting direct tv.

  3. i bought a dish, i bought a box, i bought a card, i paid for installation, and paid a monthly fee. one of my friends told me about Satellite Tv Pc.

You get over 3000 channels from 78 countries on your PC right off the internet.

it is so cool. the big secret is that these companies like dish network, sky, direct tv, All use waves that were meant to be FREE. these waves come from satellites in space that can easily be transfered through the internet.

Check it out before you waste any regreted money.
