Satellite internet!!!?

Anyone have comments about pros and cons of satellite internet.

Pros

+ Internet in rural places

+ Internet in mobile places (boat, RV)

+ Could be cheaper if you have satellite TV and they offer you a deal.

Cons

- Usually more expensive than DSL/Cable

- Definitely slower than DSL/Cable.

- Bad weather interferes with internet speed.

- Requires installation of satellite equipment (vs. DIY installation of DSL/Cable)

My opinion - Satellite internet is good if you can't get cable or DSL, otherwise, stick to one of those.

There is another answer out there, I saw an add in the paper for skyway usa, it is alternative to Hughes or wild blue. It only cost 29 a month. It doesn't go out in the rain, and  I installed it myself. I have friends with both Hughes and wild blue and my service is as fast but I pay 1/2 as much.
