Question:

Satellite or Cable???

I currently have Comcast because there were already cables installed at the house i'm renting. For the first 3 months they gave me a good rate for a generous amount of channels and also movie channels. Now, since the 3 months are up, I am paying 56 dollars a month after I even took off the movie channels. And that's still 20 dollars more than I was paying for the special deal. They said if I downgraded from what I now have, then it would have to be only like 30 channels. And thats still a lot. So, does anybody have any ideas? I've never had satellite so I don't know if it's a hassle to have installed or if it's expensive or what? Do they have to drill more holes in the wall, because I don't know how that would go over with the landlord. I just can't afford to pay this much every month. Please help me out you guys...

  1. Seems you're better off w/Comcast.  Satellite goes out on cloudy days, needs to be drilled in unless you pay for the free-standing stand.  My apt doesn't allow it to be mounted, some do.  And it has to be mounted a certain direction.  A few years back, I lived in Phoenix and there was another cable company available, less/different channels and lower in price.  You may want to do a search.  Good luck.
