  1. get satellite better picture

  2. I live in a REALLY pants area for any arial tv reception so got a sky satellite just for that reason.

(and the fact my neighbours have some huge bloody trees which also get right in the way and without hacking them down with a chainsaw which might it must be said annoy them somewhat made it easier to just get sky satellite!)

  3. I would say Satellite would be your best bet because satellite gives you a better reception than aerial

  4. I have both. I'm lucky to have line-of-sight to my terrestrial transmitter.

    I have no preference...

  5. I use my antennae for my locals and satellite for everything else. This way it saves me 5 bucks a month because I don't have to pay the satellite company for my local channels.

I am about 35 miles from the nearest broadcasting stations. I do have to use a signal amp/ booster though. If you get your local channels in pretty good using an antennae already and are wanting to upgrade to HD then you should be ok also. You do not need a special antennae or satellite for HD either do not let anyone tell you, you do. You do need satellite or cable if you want anything other than your local broadcast stations though. Such as Discovery Channel, TLC, A&E.
