  1. Directv's international dish may be your best choice... it is small enough that the federal goverment's laws protect it from being banned by local governments( such as apartment buildings or condo associations) the arabic programming only includes 5 channels however so check thier website to see if you are interested. The dish can be installed in a 5 gallon bucket filled with concrete... of course you need to have a clear line of sight...being on the wrong side of a building can be a big problem if you are considering a balcony or patio for your dish location

  2. Hi holly s ,

It isn't the type of dish but the ability to see the Iranian satellites from your location.

Satellites are geostationary. That means they move with the earth so they are always in the same spot in the sky. A country locates its satellites where they are always above them so they can use it.

You can't see the Iranian birds from your location. The type, size or power of your dish doesn't make any difference.

    Norm

  3. Well an international dish will measure 36" x 22", i don't know about getting iranian channels but with Directv there is a package named ArabicDirect is the first 24 hr Arabic thematic channel of its kind in the region. This is a pan-Arab channel, programming is included from Lebanon, Egypt, Syris, Jordan and many other Arabic countries
