Saturn Return: 2012 is Practically... Next Week!?

Saturn Return: Happens 29 1/2 years after birth.

I was born on April 12, 1983. So that means the "fun" should begin late 2012.

In my natal chart Saturn is in Scorpio 1°48'42 in house 4 retrograde.

Which house will Saturn transit during my Saturn return?

Will the retrograde of my natal chart make the experience for me easier/ worse/ or is it not relevant?

Does the degree in my sign (1°48'42) hold any bearing in my Saturn return?

Do other aspects in your chart effect your return?

Generally how long does the " day(s) of reconning" last?

I'm genuinly not scared by it... as a general idea. I consider most things a blessing... even if they hurt a little.

  1. There is no reason to dread a Saturn Return. They can be very helpful in getting your life on track.

Now, a basic fact... if it is a Saturn Return, it means it is returning to exactly where it was when you were born... so it will be in your 4th house, just like your birth Saturn.

The exact date of your precise Saturn Return is Oct 20, 2012, but you will feel it for a few months before and a few months after it.

I am not going to do a personalized reading for you, but here are the basic facts.

Essentially, when Saturn returns, it is asking you to take a good, hard, extremely practical, cold look at your life. Where are you going? Are you doing what you want with your life? And this is a period when you cannot lie to yourself. If your life is full of BS, Saturn strips it away and asks you What Really Matters To You?

Sometimes this period can seem a little too sober and maybe a pinch depressing or sad, but that's because all the illusions are gone. Saturn will clear the air. If your life is a lie, it will be unbearable to accept. This is the time for practical, pointed shifts, if they are called for.

However, if you have been on your life path, and have been clearly focused all along, Saturn welcomes you to adulthood. It can give you a sense of Yes, I Am OK.

Yes, aspects from other planets, both natal and transiting, can affect and color your Saturn Return.

Once it's all over, you can start getting ready for the next one when you are 58 years old.

  2. Saturn teaches us lessons through grief and hard work. Every time Saturn moves through a house we learn a lesson pertaining to that house. When dear Saturn returns to his original place (where he was when you were born) you will have learned a lesson in each area of life (all 12 houses). That is why you are not "fully mature" until your first Saturn Return.

A "Saturn Return" means that Saturn returns to his original spot - where he started off in your birth chart. So by default saturn will be in the same house at that time as he was in your birth chart.

When he returns to his exact degree your saturn return really happens.

Retrograde's etc. do not directly impact. Although it would be interesting if my dear Saturn passed his original spot and then went retrograde to cross it yet again!

Saturn is the slowest planet (of traditional astrology). His returns take the longest. He moves through one house in 2.5 years on average. Saturn return takes 2.5 years... but it's very significant in a 10º orb of his original degree which takes about 10 months or so for Saturn to cross.

  3. I have Saturn in Scorpio too. I wonder...

  4. Come on, you don't really believe all this mumbo-jumbo, do you?
