Saturn anti theft deterant keeps disabling my car HELP????

I recently moved to Hawaii and purchased a 2001 Saturn L200

It is a great second car. Saturday the anti theft deterant caused my whole car to shut down and we ended up having it towed because the local saturn was not open at the time. It would turn over and than shut off. after letting it sit a while it disarmed and started up fine. It repeated it again today. The women I purchased it from said that it happened to her a few times but she would do a weird thing with the steering column nand it would eventually start for her. The manual does not say what to do to diable it. only enable it. I googled it and got no where. Hopefully someone out there that owns a Saturn could give me some insight???

Sometimes you have to turn the steering wheel to the left or right and will start right up. Like, put the key in, turn the wheel then turn the key.

It is an anti theft device that supposed to only work with the key.
