However, by the time of the third-wicket stand between BM Chauhan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RA-Jadeja-c2238, the pitch had lost all its bounce and was now a death trap for the bowlers.
This partnership yielded 66 runs on the board before Chauhan's (33) departure. He was caught by Shukla off Upadhyay.
Skipper, JN Shah then scored 13 runs before finding his way off the field, leaving his side sitting on 90 runs.
Jadeja was then joined by SH Kotak, as the two batsmen, took the sting out of the bowling attack by leading their side to 260 runs.
The batting pair was unbeatable as the bowlers got clobbered almost everywhere, while at the same time, the batsmen were tentative enough not to throw away their wicket.
Finally, Rathod, stepped in to break the daunting partnership as he nabbed Kotak, who fell after hitting 68 runs off his bat.
With AV Vasavada perishing without scoring, KR Makvana belted a century and stood unbeaten as his side declared the innings by posting 576 on the board.
