Savatage era preferences...?

Question

I was wondering what era of Savatage's career was widely considered best by the folks out there, which raises several points: Does volume of output outweigh quality and creativity?

I know my preferences, but what are yours?

Hall of the mountain king made them popular to the general public...but what made them stars was Forming Trans-siberian Orchestra..Savatage was never really mainstreem...i myself love Streets....Edge of thorns

everything up through STREETS, was great. everything after streets was just kinda boring. i think the death of criss oliva had something to do with that but it became just one concept album after another and it got boring. i love the stuff like HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING and WHITE WITCH. the older heavier stuff. and like i said, the STREETS album was also great. but after that.....oh! and they need to have paul o'niell (is that his name?) STOP producing their albums. i also think thats a factor to why their music has just become boring.

I Love The Hall Of the Mountain king. I saw them live new years eve 1997 with megadeth and dio, great show
