  1. Just for a laugh (and to find out who is your local policeperson) put a notice on the door in large print;

    MY SHOT GUN SAYS NO JUNK MAIL AS DOES THE ROTTWEILER

  2. The Mail Preference Service can unfortunately only stop mail from some of the companies whose junk mail is delivered by the Post Office, and cannot control what other people shove through your letter box.

    The best way to cut down on the amount of unwanted pizza fliers coming through your letter box is to make your letter box harder to find. Sounds silly, but a house across the road has partially hidden theirs; the postman knows where it is because he delivers regularly, but the junk distributors often give up as they just can't find it (not that it's particularly tough).

  3. Totally agree. Write on them RTS. Return To Sender. Put them in the post box.

  4. Post a message on your door saying no flyers, no junk mail.

    Call the companies involved and tell them to take you off your mailing list, or they risk losing you as a customer.

  5. i think there is a post office service where you can ask for fliers to be not delivered. try asking at a main post office.

    as for envelopes, i write 'unwanted junk mail. please remove me from your database immediately. please dispose of this wasted paper thoughtfully.' all over the letter,  stuff the whole lot into the prepaid return envelope and send it back to them. i have not yet had a repeat mailing, and it gives the post office extra revenue.

  6. Yes, they should be limited.  So, I agree with you.  If you right click on the message that is junk mail, you will see where it says "this is spam."  Just click on that and it will be sent to your spam folder.  Then, you can just empty it.

  7. i agree they should ban them all! i get about 10 through my letter box each day!

  8. I am not sure this is still valid because it is from a book from 1989-

    Write to : Mail Preference Service, Direct Marketing Association, 11 West 42nd St. PO Box 3861, New York, NY 10163-3861

    This can decrease you mail up to 75%

  9. block up letter boxs then they cant deliver
