Save as "save target as" need help

i saved as "save target as" when dowloading a song for my mp3 player it says its saving to HTML document how do i change that as my mp3

  1. Odds are the link you're trying to "Save As" just points to another HTML page which invokes the download. Click the link first and see where it takes you. You may have to actually go one more page to get the actual download link for the mp3.


  2. Sounds like the link you were right-clicking upon was to a page containing the mp3 and not the mp3 itself. Try following the link to see if another web page opens up and, if so, see if you can find the mp3 there.

  3. its not that easy to download mp3's specially coming from a webpage....

    you need to download it properly not just using save target as...

  4. You have to view the source code and known how to read it to track down whether you can find the actual path to the song itself.  Many sites now use JavaScript and other scripting languages to set up an object on their pages so noone can get the actual file.
