Question

I have a Project in the subject Environmental Education and my teacher has asked me to make a list of all the devices that run using Renewable Sources of Energy like solar energy and windmill energy... Could you guys please list out as many as possible??? These marks are count for my exams too... So please don't let me fail it... And all those who answer thanks for your help.

Hydro electricity, geothermal (hot rocks), sea wave energy,

can't think of any more off the top of my head.

All this can feed into normal electricity grid, and can then be used for anything that uses electricity. The most common use of wind power out in the country has been to raise water from underground using wind pumps (see link).

places using geothermal steam to heat houses, generate electricity

solar energy used to heat home water supplies, generate eleectricty

wave/tidal machines to generate electricty

technically burning wood is also it (as wood is considered renewable), so cooking with wood stoves etc, using it for heating (bad thing is it produces loads of CO2)

wind energy using those wind turbines (windmills are used to grind grain etc)

New Alternative Biofuels (can be harvested and used for energy) It's in the works and the US is looking to use it and invest in it.

The future of energy could lie in what scientists call "anti matter". Apparently one liquid drop could power New York City For an entire week. The CERN Center of Nuclear Research and Physics (acronym in French and it is the largest scientific research centre in the world. Europe leads the world in science, and you may not have known it) in Geneva Switzerland is working on harnessing large amounts. However it's highly unstable and explosive, even if mixed with air, or any matter. It's basically the opposite of matter, in terms of being negatively charged.

A single "gram" of Anti-matter is as deadly as a 20 KiloTon Bomb (Nuclear Warhead used on Hiroshima example).

Anyway, using it for energy would be beneficial for the environment because it's completely 100 percent efficient, and releases absolutely zero pollutants or radiation into the air.

However, it could be used for explosive means. Read the book "Angels and Demons"

Also look up Anti Matter, CERN, on Wiki Pedia or google.

It could also be used in the future of space travel, interplanetary travel and going to other galaxies. Because not much of it is needed. Remember one droplet could power New York City for a week. I didnt make this up. Look it up.
