Save my saltwater mussels!!!!!!?

Okay, so i accidentally took some mussels from the shower area at the beach and assumed they were dead. then, i took them home and found out they were alive. they are miniature too. their natural habitat is the beach that is, like, 100 miles away. what do i do to keep them alive? i live near a freshwater river and don't know if they'll die there! they are calling to you! S.O.S!

Take them to your local fish store and ask them if they can keep them in their salt water aquarium where they sell their salt water fish?

I don't even know how long they'd live in that because those fish are tropical, and muscles aren't tropical. They're more of a north shore thing.

You're screwed. I don't think you want to pay all that money to set up a north atlantic tank with cold salt water just so you can keep these little muscles a live.
