  1. use photoshop or acdsee 11

  2. First use your file manager to copy the all the files from your card to your computer.

You will either need to use the photo program that came with your camera or use the RAW processing portion of Photoshop.

You may have to download a RAW viewer for your computers operating system in order to view them in the file manager as an image rather than just a file number.

  3. Some RAW are different than other RAW images.  Some Photoshop and Elements will be able to view, some you'll have to get a plug-in from Adobe in order to use the RAW image in Photoshop or Elements.

Oddly enough, it seems that the very free Picasa (http://picasa.google.com) seems to be able to view RAW files automatically.  I've had no issues with it with either DNG or PEF files.

If you're running Windows, Microsoft makes a RAW image Thumbnailer and Viewer available on the page I link to below.

  4. What camera and operating system do you have?

You can view your RAW with these codecs (for Windows XP & Vista)

    http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downlo...

You can import & edit them using Adobe Lightroom ( http://www.adobe.com/lightroom )
