  1. Sorry, hun, throw it away.  But your bush will be fine and a new branch will grow.

  2. If it is broken right off - forget it. There is nothing you can so to save it, and it is pretty difficult to get a rose hardwood cutting to root.

If it is still attached, you can try to mend the break though your chances of success are slim. Support the branch at the right angle so it does not move. Use canes or stakes and pieces of cloth or old tights to hold it up. Wrap the broken area with a piece of linen or cotton cloth so that the living surfaces are tightly held together. Spray the surface of the cloth with water.

  3. If you were closer to winter you could propagate the branch by dipping the base (polar) in rooting hormone or soaking 24 hrs in a quick-dip and then burying the branch in some light compost (chips).  Retrieving it in the spring you will find that it has rooted and then can be planted.  You may be able to simulate winter in your freezer!  Otherwise I think most agree that its not worth the time.   I think it's illegal to propagate most of the hybrid roses today anyways!!! :)

  4. Put the broken off piece in rooting powder and plant it so you'll have another rose bush.

  5. why does it need to be saved?

roses usually get pruned yearly so it shouldn't be too big of a deal to lose a limb.

  6. Hmm, the only attempt I can think of that might be successful, would be to wet the two sides and cut them back just a hair, then match the ends back up and splint them together and hope they will "graft" which is how hybrids get put onto root stock.  It may not work, but if you really want to save it, it could be worth a try.

You can also just straighten the break (if is has not completely separated) and splint it and it might hang on for a while, but the broken section will probably die at the next dormant season, if not before.

  7. just by going to the flower shop and buy a new one ,

  8. You really can't.  The best thing to do is to trim it at one of the k***s and leave it alone (give it some water & fertilizer).  Plants are amazingly resilient, but they don't "heal" the way that humans and animals do.  It would be best for the plant to just trim it now before bacteria or bugs can get a foothold in the fracture.

  9. Put a little splint on it just like your leg..........not a cast, just splint. Wrap it with just a little piece of cloth and keep it damp once the splint is on........first you got to hold it.   bye splint can be a little piece of wood.
