Saving a disc onto computer?

Question

ok, i have a cd of a computer program (yes its legal), for school, and i got told to save it onto my hard drive. how do i do this, because it is a copy, not the actual version?

you click and hold it then drag it over to where you want it to de saved.

Go to any folder on your computer where you'd want to save the program.Go to the left column at the top and click on make a new folder,name it what you want.Put the cd in your player,go to the drive in my computer,right click and click open.It will open up as a folder,click on the program to highlight it,click save in the left column,when the box comes up, save it to the new folder you just named.

Ok, first what is contained in the CD?

if its music, movie, programs etc you could drag and drop the files into your desktop (or any other folder)
