Saving a picture in adobe photoshop??

i have made some pics in adobe photoshop and saved them as "gif"..but now i want to make some changes in that same pictures but nothing happens it says "the layer is lock"..how do i unlock it or make changes???please help...:)

If you saved it as a gif then all layers are flattened turning it into a flat image. You have to make sure you save it in psd format to be able to maintain the layers. If you dont have the Psd then you may have lost the image :(
