Saving money for parents!?

My sisters and I are trying to save up for a fridge for our parents, but i don't know how to save up my share because at the same time i am saving up to take my mom to the spa and for a wii! arggggg! Do you have any tips for how a 13 year old can save up $1,000?

  1. Invest in a mutual fund wich gives u good returns. Keep ur mom as a guardian. or check with any bank if they hv any saving schemes for children


  2. Try to set aside a $12 a week for each item. Divide it into 3 separate accounts and mark them spa,refrigerator and wii.  It will take time, but before you know it, you will have reached your goal.  I commend you for thinking of others.

  3. It is extremely unreasonable for a 13-year-old to be asked to save up $1000, especially to buy an appliance.  I know you want to help your parents, but come on !!!!   If your siblings are old enough to work, they need to pay the higher share of this.  I also commend you on wanting to take your mom to a spa, but that may be unmanageable.
