Saw Palmetto , does it stop hair loss or indeed help grow more ,I was using a high dose product cant see much?

I was using a high dose Saw Palmetto tablet from EarthRise foods ,not sure if really making any difference in my thinning crown area .Anyone have comments or experience of this herb for hair loss treatment in men or proof that it it helps .Its supposed to stop a process that promotes hair loss due to hormones .Makes sense but I cant see much results after 8 months usage

Effectiveness of the medicine also depend on the your hair condition. It is not neccessorily true  that A good product  would be beneficial for you with same extent as other.

I think you should use herbal or natural products for hair loss treatment because it is economical, safe and has no side effects.

natural medicines have also a strong solution oriented approach.

now i know why my dad keeps bottles of that stuff around. hes been using it for a long time now and he still looks like hes losing his hair, if that helps =P

Saw Palmetto is a a well known hair loss alternative to medical treatments like Propecia. Genetic hair loss is directly related to DHT, a very powerful male hormone that are found in your hair follicles and your andrenal glands. Saw Palmetto contains properties that stops your enzymes from binding with the male hormone Testosterone to create DHT, therefore reducing DHT leading to supposed reduction of hair loss.

However you have to bear in mind that Saw Palmetto are not proven as an effective hair loss treatment. You might be able to see some effects on reducing hair loss, but depending on your condition, using it alone will not stop hair loss. If you are really serious about treating your hair, consider treatments like Minoxidil, Propecia and also some Vitamins and lifestyle adjustments. I am afraid charlatans like this just see you coming. You have been throwing your money at them for 8 months with no chance of any improvement. Don't you think that you have been conned long enough?

2 medical products definitely do produce useful hair growth in some people, minoxidil lotion and finesteride tablets. However most people abandon even these, either because the improvement is not good enough, or since the both need to be continued indefinitely, they just get fed up with the cost.
