Saw the gas pipe representing BTU rates. What is the BTU capicity for 1 Inch O.D pipe.

  1. Depending on the length of pipe, and the BTU per cubic for of gas you get.

    10 feet of 1" pipe will handle 684,000 btu at 1000btu per cubic feet like it is, in our area.

    At 125 feet of 1" pipe, it drops to 174,000 btu

    This is for 1" iron pipe, which is really 1" ID
