Saw a ghost and now know who it was, help please..

ok this is really weird.. ive been "seeing" ghost since i was little.. usually its a shadow or an unrecognizable face.. the other day i was at my father in-laws place with my hubby and his brother and a few friends it was probably around 11ish at night.we were all sitting outside just goofing off and when my brother in laws friend runs into the back yard i watched her run around my father in laws truck and as i panned my view back, that's when i saw it.. a face, a man in my father in laws truck. it was only there for a second then disappeared. i was freaked out, i was shaking, stuttering and almost in tears.. i described what i saw (who i saw) to my hubby.. and told him i wanted to leave.. this happened last week and just today i looked at missing persons in columbus ohio and on the 3rd page i found the guy i saw.the same guy to the T. and then that's when i read who it was. brian shaffer. ive never seen a actual pic of him, just the video of his last night at ugly tuna saloona. i don't know what to do.. i don't know if i should leave a tip or not.. i don't know how it will help.. as unfortunate as this sounds i don't feel hes still alive. and i believe hes around my father in laws house. where he lives, there are lots of wooded lots and even a small stream.. i just cant get his face out of my mind and the feeling of dread and fear i felt that night i saw his face.. can anyone give me any insight on what to do?

I strongly believe that we have people and situations come into our lives for specific reasons. Being able to "see" or being clairvoyant, can be a very scary thing...But...You can also be a tremendous help to those unfortunate who choose you to guide them either to the other side or help solve a circumstance. The first step is to fully understand the gift you have and get a mentor, or at least talk to someone who has the same capabilities. Such as a psychic....Do not let fear control you. I know it is scary seeing what you saw, but remember, that person and whom ever you may come across, was once alive and as human as you and me, and is just looking for peace. To them you are a light in the dark. Whether you believe it or not, you can control this and it can be very beneficial, helping others always has it awards.

Start with baby steps, research and learn about this stuff, fully understand your gifts and talk to someone....

yes that is a poser all right...maybe you should talk to a pastor AND the FBI and let him/them know what's been going on (give ALL the details)...

Here's the thing: trying to explain to the police that you saw so-and-so's ghost hanging around your father in law's place is going to get you one of 2 responses: either dismissed as a crackpot or questioned very intensely about what your involvment is in that person's disappearance. What is worse is that if they do think you are a crackpot initially, and then find his body somewhere in those woods afterwords, its going to look even more suspicious on you than before. Police interpret most ghost sightings as manifestations of guilt (think Banquo's ghost in Macbeth) and not as true paranormal activity (by what basis can they even begin to judge whether or not what you say you are is true, in the first place.)

If you truly want to help, you can organize your own private search party (made up of people who you can trust and who you know will not think you killed so and so) and let the search party know what it is you are looking for. If the ghost's presence does indicate a body nearby (ghosts are really bad with directions after dying) then discovering the body will still bring you unwanted attention (see reasons above) but hopefully the result (along with the statements of those involved in the search) will alleviate any suspicions about your possible involvement in their disappearance.

I understand your wanting to help, but wanting to help can get you into as much trouble, if you aren't careful, as being guilty. It might help if you had someone, preferably a professional or someone in the police force, who's had experience of your 'gift' before help with the search, since they can vouch for your character, but if all you've got is your own instincts and experiences, it might be better to simply write down your feelings and keep a record of them. The more ghost sightings you write down, who they are, where you saw them, what you think it might mean, the better your chances of convincing someone else later on.

Anyone can claim anything, it takes proof (and lots of it) to convince others of their truth.

His death is not connected to your father in law in any way, I feel that he possibly went to school with him and he was making a connection through him to you.

If you are not confident in talking to him yourself, then perhaps seek a spiritual medium/clairvoyant who can assist- he is ready to be contacted and needs to talk so if the medium is genuine they will pick up on him straight away ( hes telling me they he will make contact with him from the moment you make a call)

If you are confident in reachin him yourself, sit in a room where you wont get distractions and light a candle. Close your eyes and take deep breaths, visualise him as you saw him at the house.

Talk to him (either in your mind or out loud) and ask him why he needs to make contact with earth. he will tell you in his own time but be patient.

Hi, Try and meditate if you are ready for what you might see? and see if you can pick up on any other details. Go back to your father-in law's house and walk around there and see if you can still feel him there. You might of just seen him because you are a sensitive! You can feel and see the paranormal. If this has been happening to you for years did anything this dramatic happen? You are probably getting better with age.You need a professional psychic to help you home in on your gift and get some control of it. Right now even after all these years you are still freaked when it happens. You could be a real help to people if you seriously see, hear and feel the spirits. Especially if you could learn how to find missing people. Maybe this is your calling,maybe not if you are to scared. At least you can gain some control and not be scared anymore.

You have every reason to feel frightened,

that must have been a completely unnerving

experience for you.

There is a reason why you are seeing this

particular spirit, it may be that he

is looking for help from you.

Did he realize or notice that you were

looking at him and could see him?

If so, then I believe he may be seeking

your help.

The fact that you saw him where you

did, leads me to believe that you

are correct in your assumption

that he may be somewhere near your

father-in-law's house.

You could try leaving a tip for the police,

but I fully understand your reluctuance

to do so, given the fact that you don't

have any further information, other than

your sighting of this individual.

If you are not too frightened-

and would be willing to try

and help this apparently deceased

individual, I would suggest you

consider going into the woods-

near your father-in-law's house-

and NOT alone and NOT at night

or the late afternoon-

as whoever may have committed this

crime might just decide to visit

the woods around the same time.

While you're in the woods,

simply call out his name

a number of times and then

tell him  (out loud),

that you saw him

and would like to help him,

but you're going to need him

to help you find him.

Now- you may not receive an immediate

response, but he may appear to you

again, if not as he did at your

father-in-law's house, then perhaps

in a dream.

Once that happens, you may be able

to try and begin helping him.

I really wish you luck in your endeavour,

just remember your toughest hurdle will be

trying to overcome your fear.

And please - do not go in those woods

alone- bring along several friends

if need be.

I would tell the police immediately.  They are using more and more psychics.  Ask for the Columbus police officer in charge of the case.  It's also weird, that I'm from about 80 miles from Columbus.  I hope you can help.

i don't know if you should report this to the Columbus police officer.

here are some question for you.

did you see how he die? was it a murder? hit and run?

if you didn't see how he die, i don't think there is any need to go to the police officer. anywaygas is expensive

there are many people who can see spirits too. should they go to the police and say i saw this person's ghost, period.

i know there is federal witness protection program, but ahhh.........  um........ federal..       eh.........ghost protection..... program? o.O

my father said

if you don't bother them, they will not bother you.

you've never harmed them, you don't need to be afraid.

if somehow the ghost is in your house. perhaps you can tell him to go back to his family.

or tell him to go to his family who's waiting for him to join them in their spiritual world?
