  1. It's fast paced, no down time, they play the full 60 minutes.

The athleticism of the players is amazing, combining many different abilities and skills.

The players names are so fun to pronounce/try to pronounce;  I'm totally naming my kid Guy Carbonneau Smith.

Interviews with hockey players are awesome.

  2. I don't think it is. In America, Football is. Everywhere else, It's Soccer.

  3. It's not.

    Because soccer already is.  :)

  4. for many reasons:

    1) physicality is encouraged... half of hockey is hitting, checking, and fighting.

    2) scoring isnt really planned... unlike football, there are no specific plays that are called. (minus the PK and PP strategies)

    3) its up and on the rise... hockey is so exciting, thrilling, and competitive

    overall, hockey is amazing.

  5. The Goal Horns

  6. Because it's the ultimate combination of sport. There's skating, scoring like soccer, precision with sticks like bats in baseball or racquets in tennis, physicality the likes of which aren't even seen in football. It's just the best sport period!

  7. because those who play hockey never take it for granted.  Everytime they take to the ice and hear their blades cut and slice through the ice, they get chills.  The feeling does not get old with age.  It could be your first time or 4000th time.  the rush of getting a breakaway or the satisfaction of breaking up a 3 on 1 break, nothing compares. only the priveleged few who play it know what im talking about.  why is hockey the best sport ever......i dont know, it just is.

  8. not only is it the best sport ever.. it's also the toughest to play, it's like a war zone out there... s***w football and soccer.. can someone say BORING?...

  9. -Stanley Cup is the most famous trophy out of professional sports

-Hockey players are TOUGH (in this year's WCF game 6 Kris Draper scored a goal off his chin, while cutting his face open.  He was escorted off the ice to recieve stitches and returned to play shortly after.  What football/baseball/soccer/basketball player would do that?)

-Fighting which comes from the amount of passion that players have

-Goal scoring and a great defensive game at the same time

  10. Because I play it and I said so.
