Question:

Saw an Obsese Family at McDonalds?

I passed by a McDonald's and saw an obese family (mom, dad and daughter) eating there... and it was not healthy stuff either. Do you think I should have told them not to eat such fattening food or maybe one of the employees there should have refused service to them.

  1. Even though they are overweight they are still citienz here and shouldn't be treated differently. Even if they are overweight that doesn't mean they should stop eating. McDonalds workers won't care because, making people obese is what is giving them there paychecks. Thank god you actually cared though, the condition they're in is unhealthy and alls that can happen now is, for God to watch out for them. It's not your problem, but thats really nice of you for trying to help out.

  2. i get annoyed when i see fat kids and their parents are feeding them junk! its not fair to do that to your children, school is hard enuf and you add fat kids are so mean! plus its not healthy either. i ate junk as a kid dont get me wrong but it was less than 20% of what i ate and i was active. plus my mom did not focus on food much, if your parents are always thinking about for they will teach you to be the same way! people become addicted, but food is not like drugs or alchohol, u cant give it up so you mudt learn self control!

  3. It's not up to you. It is there desicion if they wanna take themselves and there daughter down an unhealthy deathly path they can You can NOT stop them. and No you can not refuse to serve them sorry! and NO that is just rude to tell them not to eat it cause it is to fattening.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Would you tell a clerk to not sell cigarrettes to the person asking for them? If people want to pay to kill themselves slowly, let them.

  5. The Obese family knows, and so does the Macdonald staff, i am pretty sure the obese family is reminded everyday they are obese, that is probably why the staff didn't do anything, i hope they get better

  6. Thats just wrong...you cant just butt into other peoples lives they live like that because that is the way they want to live......I work there...and i have never refused service just because someone is fat....its not right....get out of other peoples lives and worry about your own..

  7. Yea refuse service to fat people!  Put all fat people on calorie rationing!

  8. There's nothing new about seeing an obese family eat at McDonalds!

These people know they are eating unhealthy and are overweight, but they care more about pleasuring their taste buds than their health.

  9. Don't be rediculous!

Don't poke your nose into other people buisness, they're nothing to do with you, if they were members of your OWN family then maybe you would have some sort of right.

Im not sticking up for them or anything but imagine someone walking up to you..."excuse me your hair looks greasy, maybe you should use this shampoo...?"

    Random example i know.

"and it was not healthy stuff either" ...does such a thing exist in McDonalds?

  10. Well, I don't think that that would have been to nice. Imagine if you were bigger would you want someone coming up to you and saying that??Also its America you r****d!!, they can do whatever they want to.! So mind your own buisness.!!

  11. Mind your own business. If they want to eat that junk then let them. You aren't anybody's babysitter but your own.

  12. huh? No matter what your weight is its a restraunt and everyone has the right to eat there unless you cause a scene or something you and everyone else has the right to be there. Whats your prob.?

  13. Sure you can go tell them; that's freedom of speech, but "should" you have? They're probably well aware of what they're doing, so it's probably not necessary, but I applaud you for being so considerate.

I don't think they should have refused service though; it's the family's right to get as fat as they want.

  14. If they want to kill them self slowly, that's their business, not yours. It's not right trying to change someone's life. How would you like it if some stranger judged you and told you to stop doing something you enjoy?

However, I believe allowing your child to be obese should be considered child abuse since it causes so many life-time health problems.

  15. I feel bad for them you should have gone by them and told them about the delicious and healthy resturaunt you ate at yesterday and told them they should try it!! but idk if that would work!! It's really a tough question!!

  16. pardon me but i take offence to that because every one in my family is over weight except me   how could you ask that and you people make me sick with these comments they cant help if they are obese nobody can

  17. that's their problem, if they want to die early, let them die early. what difference does it make in the world? one person dies, billions of others are still alive.

  18. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!! What are you some kind of freak who spies through the windows of all your local McDonald's to see what people look like and what they are eating? Get a life!!!

  19. Why do you feel you have the right to call them out?

Isn't it a free country? How in the world do you even think it would change any thing anyway? Are they supposed to stop eating and thank you for coming along and pointing out that they are losers and now you made their miserable life soooo much better?

Who cares about one Mc Donald's meal anyway. Takes more than that to make someone obese. Maybe it was all they could afford. Don't be so quick to judge what you obviously don't know anything about. You don't know these people or what they are going though in life.

  20. Sure you should have gone and said something to them, then you had better have ducked or someone would have taken a swing at you, or thrown their drink on you....People are very touchy about their weight.  As for being denied service, not happening..that would open the door for a big class action lawsuit based on discrimination.  Not good! So even though you meant well, it would not have been received as good intentions, and could have landed you in some trouble...

  21. Everyone has their vices.  The child can make the decision to eat healthy when she is old enough to buy her own food.

You can't blame McDonalds anyway.  Everything is okay in moderation.  I am a thin person and eat at McDonalds rarely.  You get just as fat eating out Italian or Chinese every night.

I think the more pressing problem would be a lack of nutrition and fiber in the diet.  This can lead to all kinds of problems beyond obesity.  Colon cancer, heart disease, erectile disfunction, fatigue.

  22. Thats the problem with you socialists you want to tell everyone how to live their lives when you should be worried about your own. If they want to be fat b******s let them, be glad you're not one of them.

  23. You could of. Or mention as you walk by that you intend to get the nutrional value info brochure. Make sure they over hear you.

  24. There is nothing you can do about it. Except take them as an example of how NOT to be. You probably take care of your body if you were really concerned about them.  Don't take it too hard though, america is getting fatter and fatter no matter what healthier foods mcdonalds or any other fast food company does,

  25. Wow you must really be a humanitarian! U probably see drug dealers and tell them that they are harming so many ppl so they should quit or maybe when you see a homeless person u offer your home to them huh. Im sure they kno they are obese because other humanitarians like u let them kno all the time! Ppl are going to do with their lives what they please with or without ur advice!

  26. No If thats how they want to live their lives then u should just let them be. Not to b rude but for to either go up to them or an employe that would really be kind of a an ebrassement and it wouldn't be ur buisness either. Sorry that was a little harsh but its the truth.

  27. No it was good that you held back and didn't say anything cuz that would have been mad mean. People like them are always gonna stay fat because that is how they where raised and they arn't gonna change.

  28. well as obese as theses people were McDonalds employees are not legaly allowed to refuse them service. If I was the family I would be offended but it is their life choices and if they chose to make their choices that is their problem or not. It is nice though that you are concerend about other peoples well being !!

  29. You know people are mean. Mostly unhappy people and you must know why. So leave them alone and try to eat healthy.

  30. Who made you the food police?

Let the obese eat their super sized mc-meals, their coronaries that are so close that there will be more oxygen for the rest of us soon.

  31. definetly not.. it's rude...

however it is a sad thing. i worl in a restuarant and i've had very big people come in to eat. they can be so big that they cannnot fit into the booth. one lady is so big that she cannot walk and has to use an electric wheelchair. you would think they wuld learn to eat helathy but there they are SMACKING A WAY ON A RIB OR DOUBLE FRIED DRUM STICK....

    SAD :(
