Saw dust for snake?

Question

A friend of mine got one of those big boxes of saw dust at petco but his pet died and he can't use it so he asked that if i wanted it for my corn snake then i could have it. its just a big box of saw dust it looks like this type of saw dust

does anyone know if this is ok for a snake?

No way the dust will cause infections with your snake. you need something dustless like aspin

Are the shaving made from pine? That is really dangerous to reptiles, especially snakes. Do not use it! I have a corn snake and I use Zoo Med's Repti Bark. It is relativley inexpensive, large enough for the snake not to acidentally swallow the chips, and it is natural looking. Here's a pic of a bag of it below. Hope this helps!

NO! Never use sawdust for a snake! In fact, newspaper is perfectly fine if you are running on a tight budget. Wood chippings are also good.

dont use for your snake also it creates a ton of dust.
