Sawpit Sensation and Swift Frogma thrive in Nottingham Heats
Sawpit Sensation and Swift Frogma have marvellously grabbed the titles of Heat 1 and 2 of Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy respectively. These high-stakes contests were held at Nottingham racecourse on Monday night, May 28.
The Heat 1 Open Race began at 8:37 (GMT). On the course of 500 metres, Sawpit Sensation broke from Trap 5 to run against Jordansoilutions, Borna George, Paradise Aruba, Ballymac Barn and Romeo Patriot.
Sawpit Sensation triggered a stunning upset by finishing first despite being a non-favourite runner. In the beginning stage of the race, he was trailing. But the D. Hunt-trained black dog suddenly gained momentum and led third.
After taking lead, the talented son of Head Bound out of No Joke Sherry ran with the constant pace and did not let any of his rivals impede him till crossing the finish line ahead of all by the reasonable margin.
Among the other hounds, Romeo Patriot finished as a runner-up while Ballymac Barn grabbed the third top spot.
Paradise Aruba notched up 4th spot while Borna George and Jordansoilutions finished 5th and 6th respectively.
In the Heat 2, Swift Frogma elegantly lifted the title. The G. Ballentine-trained brindle dog ran against Evny Apple King, Romeo Causeway, Nastasi, Madeley, Conor Pass Mick and Droopys Stan.
The Open Race over the distance of 500 metres started at 8:51 (GMT). Swift Frogma broke from the black box and demonstrated a big run to dominate his rivals convincingly.
From the very beginning of the race, the maverick son of Kinloch Brae out of Vatican Reba was running aggressively, therefore, he managed to take lead very soon.
Thus, the dashing dog passed the whole distance convincingly and comfortable. The results of the race were quite shocking for most of the bookmakers as the hot-favourite hound, Nastasi fell as down as 4th.
Envy Apple King grabbed the runner-up position while Romeo Causeway finished 3rd. Madeley, Conor Pass Mick and Droopys Stan claimed 5th, 6th and 7th positions respectively.
By and large, both these events will be interesting and amazing. A large number of the sport lovers turned out to the venue to enjoy the fantastic actions.
