Sawpit Sensation bolts in the Grade OR Magners Standard Trophy - Heat 2 on 26th March, 2012
Some of the most exciting races were held on 26th March, 2012. The punters paid special attention to some of the hounds competing, placed their bets carefully on those with the best odds.
E. Gaskin’s Nans Turbo was the source of excitement in the Grade OR Coral On Tv Standard Trophy – Heat 3 at Romford.
The son of Crash, out of Ballyguiry Jodie, was whelped in May 2009 and has an impressive record.
He added another victory to his record with this race as he charged through the track and defeated P. Young’s Jewel Magic by 3 ¾ lengths.
This victory showed progression from his last performance in the Grade OR The Coral Romford Standard at Romford, where he finished as a runner-up, falling a short-head behind Diamond Cnoc, who covered the 400 metres in 24.44 seconds.
Jennas Pony, daughter of Ballymac Maeve, out of Pony Maiden, also emerged victorious from the Grade OR Coral On TV Standard Trophy – Heat 2 at Romford.
Trained by C. Allsopp, the b***h showed her true potential as she breezed past competition over the 400 metre course with a finishing time of 24.02 seconds, leaving N. Savva’s Crossfield Jet, the race favourite with odds of 2 to 1, to finish as a runner-up
by 1 ¾ lengths.
Nottingham hosted some of the exciting races including the Grade OR Magners Standard Trophy - Heat 2.
This race was taken by Sawpit Sensation who raced as favourite with odds of 4 to 7. D. Hunt was extremely proud of the performance that the son of Head Bound, out of No Joke Sherry delivered.
With his enhanced speed and capability, he comfortably bagged the victory by defeating Bakari by a wide margin of 3 ¼ lengths. He took the 500 metre track by storm finishing in 30.03 seconds.
The L. Corrigan trained hound’s chances of winning did not look too bright as he entered the race with odds of 25 to 1, his standing as a runner-up was still worth applause.
With these hounds in their best possible form, it is likely that they will run some of best races in future.
