Sawpit Sensation dominant in the Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy Final at Nottingham
The Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy Final will be hosted by Nottingham over 500 metres flat on Monday, 4th June. Taking part in the £400 prize money are Envy Apple King, Swift Frogma, Ballymac Barn, Sawpit Sensation, Romeo Patriot and Romeo
Causeway.
The most promising entry for the race is Sawpit Sensation, Head Bound’s two-year-old black son out of b***h, No Joke Sherry. He was the 4/7 favourite of the Stadium Bookmakers Puppy 480 metres Trophy on 9th January at Nottingham over 480 metres.
He timed the track distance in 29.46 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Quivers Shimmer, by 6 ¼ lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was Warrior Jack.
Ever since his last training session, Sawpit Sensation won three out of the five starts that he undertook. He was the 2/1 favourite of the Betfred Goals Galore Gents Standard on 30th April at Nottingham over 500 metres.
He completed the trip in 30.46 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Paradise Aruba, by 1 ¾ lengths. Settling third behind the winner was Slick Seahawk.
The two-year-old then swept away the Swindon Monkey 509er – Heat 1 on 9th May at Swindon over 509 metres. The 4/6 favourite of the race settled the distance in 30.14 seconds and took charge of the final 3 ¾ lengths.
Finishing the closest to the winner was Crusty Crab.
Sawpit Sensation got deprived of the hat trick when he ended second in the May Monkey 509er Final on 16th May at Swindon over 509 metres. The race was won by Crusty Crab who was done racing in 29.75 seconds.
Sawpit Sensation was the 5/4 favourite runner up who timed the distance in 29.87 seconds.
After finishing as the runner up for one more time, Sawpit Sensation won the Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy – Heat 1 on 28th May at Nottingham over 500 metres.
The 7/4 joint favourite reached the other end of the wire in 29.97 seconds and had Romeo Patriot finishing the closest after leaping through the two and a half lengths by which the winner led.
He has all the chances of swinging back into the winning form today.
