Sawpit Sensation gets the best odds for Magners Standard Trophy - Heat 2
The bookmakers have favoured Sawpit Sensation for the Magners Standard Trophy - Heat 2 at Nottingham in England on Monday, March 26, 2012. The winning hound will be awarded with a cash prize of £125.
All runners will have to cover a distance of 500 metres, which will test their stamina. The Grade OR flat race, which is scheduled to start at 20:04 GMT, has attracted six entries and their names are as follows: Sawpit Sensation, Mays Harvestmoon,
Romeo Energy, Salacres Sparky, Salacres Cool and Bakari.
The favourite hound has been quite consistent over the past few months and does not seem to have any issues at the moment. This will encourage the punters from placing bets on him.
In his most recent outing, Sawpit Sensation was unable to win, despite being the bookmakers’ favourite. He did not have any pace at all at the start, thus finished runner up in the end.
D. Hunt’s trainee seems to like the longer distance races, as he has mostly done well in them. He has not raced regularly at Nottingham, thus the conditions might be a touch new for him. However, he is fully capable of coping up with any situation.
The black dog is the son of Head Bound out of No Joke Sherry and was born in February 2010.
Another runner, expected to perform well at Nottingham today, is Mays Harvestmoon. Although victories have not come for him in recent times, he has been fighting at the front consistently.
F. Lenton’s trainee finished third in his most recent outing at Nottingham. He struggled at the start of the race, but recovered well in the end. He was able to fight the top two for victory, but ran out of gas in the end.
The white and black dog is the son of Last Bid out of Magpie Tango and was born in February 2010.
Romeo Energy, trained by L. Tuffin, has also been awarded with very good odds. However, his performances have not been much consistent in this class, which suggests that he might struggle a bit.
It will not be an easy task for the bottom three to challenge the top favourites, as things are not easy at this level.
