Sawpit Sensation likely to dominate The Swindon Monkey 509er Final
Sawpit Sensation is likely to dominate proceedings in The Swindon Monkey 509er Final in England on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The triumphant hound of the major event will bag a cash prize of £500.
Six quality runners will be up against in the Grade OR event, which is scheduled to start at 20:52 GMT, and their names are: Sawpit Sensation, Ding Hero, Phoenix Messi, Jaytee Tiger, Farloe Orion and World Charm.
It was not a difficult decision for the bookmakers to rate Sawpit Sensation as the favourite for today’s race, as he has been in spectacular form. He likes running in the longer distance events, as he is a very good finisher. His stamina is extremely good,
thus the punters will be putting their money in favour of his victory.
D. Hunt’s trainee has managed to win a couple of races out of his past five appearances. Therefore, he has the confidence and will not make life easy for the rest of the participants. His most recent run was also at Swindon and he was dominant that time
around, winning by four lengths.
The black dog started off decently in that race and kept on increasing his speed as the race progressed. He was in the lead halfway through the event and ended up comfortably on top of the table.
The favourite hound, who is also the youngest of all participants, is the son of Head Bound out of No Joke Sherry and was born in February 2010.
Ding Hero, trained by K. Hutton, will also be the one to watch out for. He is not a good starter, but that does not really matter in the longer distance races. He has been a touch inconsistent over the past few races, but definitely has the winning tools.
The white and black dog recently won a race at Swindon and has done well at this venue overall. His most recent appearance saw him finish runner up by just a neck distance, which shows that he has the potential to match the best in the business.
However, Ding Hero will need to produce one of his best performances in order to challenge Sawpit Sensation. The former hound is the son of Crash out of Raggletagglrosie and was born in August 2009.
The other participants do not really seem to have a good chance today, as the battle is expected to be amongst the top two favourites.
