Sawpit Sensation set to stand first in 2012 Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 1 Heat 13
The Hunt trained black dog, Sawpit Sensation, is all set to seal top spot in the 2012 Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 1 Heat 13 that will be held at Shelbourne Park on Thursday night, August 2. The Open Race over 550 yards is scheduled to begin at 21:40 (GMT).
The two-year-old veteran hound has achieved numerous iconic feats so far. Most recently, the dashing dog won four high-stakes OR events in a row from May 28 to July 10----two races took place at Nottingham, one at Hove and two at Sheffield.
This excellent success streak has spiked up the brilliant hound’s confidence level greatly. Prior to this, the talented son of Head Bound out of No Joke Sherry marvellously grabbed two grand victories along with a couple of runner-up positions during April-May.
The best thing about the maverick sprinter is that he has run most of the races of his long career with favourite tags. This is an evidence of his inherent skills and capabilities.
In tonight’s marathon, Sawpit Sensation will break from the orange box to take on five rivals including some big names like Razldazl Rioga and Puddens Lad. If he manages to sustain his stamina in face of the challenges, he will be able to thrive convincingly.
Razldazl Rioga will also fight hard for success. The D. Ruth trained black dog’s profile is marked with impressive success streaks. During May 2012, he marvellously won three ace open races over 480 meters in a row at Wimbledon. These tremendous triumphs boosted up his morale greatly.
The talented son of Brett Lee out of Razldazl Pearl went on to win the Betdaq Race Of Champions Semi-Final at Tralee on June 22. He also lifted the title of the Betdaq Race Of Champions at the same venue on June 30.
At the moment, the experienced hound is awash with confidence. Thus, it looks quite obvious that he will give enough tough time to Sawpit Sensation. There will be held a fierce battle between these two worthy hounds. Numerous spectators will make up to the venue to catch the live action. Good luck to the both the contestants.
