  3. Ebay does not sell answer books. We tried to sell ours and could not. Because, some of the schools use them. What edition are you looking for. I have the 2005 addition book and answer key.

  4. i have used Saxon math before. you can buy it at a book store. my friends grandma owns a catholic book store that is perfect for me to get all my books ect. from. so i'd check it out online: http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/B...

    or whatever and then find a store you like or , like you said, buy it online at a good spot. i personally like Saxon and i think you will approve too. good luck

  5. Here are the Saxon Levels

    K =  Kindergarten

    1 =  First Grade

    2 =  Second Grade

    3 =  Third Grade and since it often takes 2 years to cover it can     also be used for 4th. (Some people take just one year, it depends on whether the child is ready to move forward.)

    5/4  Fifth Grade, or Advanced 4th

    6/5 Sixth Grade, or Advanced 5th

    7/6 Seventh Grade, or Advanced 6th

    8/7 This is text designed as a remedial book for those new to the program in 7th or 8th grade, who are not ready to move into Algebra 1/2

    Then the number system is abandoned and the Saxon books progress like this:

    Algebra 1/2

    Algebra 1

    Algebra 2

    Advanced Mathematics (Designed to take 3 semesters)

    Calculus

    Physics

    You will notice there is no Geometry.  That is because Saxon incorporates Geometry into the other subjects.  A student who has taken Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and the first two semesters of Advanced Math will have covered everything traditionally taught in High School Geometry, plus a good deal of Trig and Pre-calculus.

    The company is in process of changing things, adding some books are specific to one grade level, as well as revising the levels mentioned above.  So things may change soon.

    You won't find the Teachers Editions or solutions manual on E-bay because E-bay does not allow the selling of Teachers Editions.  There are some Yahoo Groups set up for the selling of Homeschool books, and there is a site http://www.vegsource.com/homeschool  that has a section about homeschooling, including a classified section for re-selling books.  You might be able to find something there.

  6. i think  its pre algebra we have a wholeee bunch of homeschool books we are getting rid of email me if u want more info tell me where u live and stuff its bekah_2009@yahoo.com if ur interested just put *books* so i know its you..but yeah i think its pre alg

  7. Since several people have already given you the list of Saxon math books (you could have found this on their website), I'll help with the "teacher's edition" part.

    Technically, once you get past Saxon 3, there are no "teacher's editions", just answer key/test booklets and solutions manuals.  If you only need the final answer, go with the answer key/test booklet.  If you need to see the problems worked out, you need the solutions manual.

    eBay doesn't *allow* the sale of "teacher's manuals", but you can sometimes find them listed as "home study guide" or something similar. If you're looking for used, your best source will be something like VegSource (they have a used curriculum buy/sell area), Amazon, or one of the Yahoo! Groups dedicated to buying and selling used homeschool curricula (search for "used homeschool curriculum").

    You can also buy the individual parts (solutions manual, answer key, etc.) new from places like Rainbow Resource or Timberdoodles.
