Saxophone notes higher than high f sharp?

is it possible to play notes higher than f sharp with some kind of "controlled squeaking" or squealing of some kind? thank you in advance.

  1. Yes, you have to use weird/dif combinations/fingerings with the octave key and it comes out lol but all saxes are different... I'm just learning how and its tough.

  3. yes there is. it takes practice though. Mostly used through vibratos. try a high b (ledger lines) to try it on. Once you have the vibrato down, you might be able to have "controlled squeaking"

  4. Yes, my teacher that I've had for more than 4 years has always told me that there are players that use those kind of things in playing music but I'm not to sure how that works.
