i realy want to become a foreign exchange student to japan!!! what are some good programs? also, what are some ways i can pay for it? if i have to pay for it i can but i was wondering if there was anyother way to do it, can you get sponsorships? also how does language immersion work? will i learn japanese? how do i know if i have a good host family? also, how does the credit requirements for high school get filled? is there a conversion system?

I have to agree with Spice M.  Your best bet is speaking to your parents and to a counselor/advisor at your school about such programs.  Then you need to go out and find what works best for you.  Because unless your high school is actively involved with exchange students from Japan, much of the work is going to have to be done by you.  

    However, I would say start early.  Don&#039;t wait until you get to Japan to start learning Japanese.  I can tell you from personal experience that there are many more scholarships opportunities for students with some previous coursework in Japanese.  I had taken two years of Japanese before I ever applied to any program, and because of which I received a partial scholarship.  However, soon after I got off the plane at Nartia Airport, I realized that two years of Japanese was not enough.  There was still much more to learn.
