Say i want to become an actress, where do i start?!?!?

do i take classes first or go to open auditions or what?

join the drama dept. at your school.

find community theater groups in your community and audition. You  may need to do this in summer b/c of school.

Go to college and major in theater.

Then head for chicago.

Take acting classes. Depending on where you live, there could be some available. If not, you can travel to an acting camp during the summer. Either way, training is necessary.

Do local plays and musicals, and school plays if you like. After lots of this experience and training, you should send your headshot and resume to agencies.

go to http://sag.org/node/667 to find agencies nearest you. If there's none in your state, it's always okay to go to the next state :D
