  1. No, she's finished. Obama is leading in pledged delegates, popular vote and number of stats won. With both Florida and Michigan refusing to hold re-votes, as their first primaries will not be counted, it is virtually impossible for her to close the 150+ pledged delegate gap, not to mention the popular vote gap. The only way for her to win this thing at this point is by Super Delegates, and for that to happen you have to imagine a situation in which Obama goes into the convention having won the most delegates, votes and states and having a group of people nobody elected to chose a Nominee override the will of Democratic voters and hand the nomination to Hillary Clinton. It would mean the disenfranchisement of 50% of the Democratic Party, not to mention overturning the will of the Party's most loyal voting block - African Americans.

I think she knows its over. Obama picked up another endorsement and Super Delegate today, Bill Richardson, which helps end the new cycle over the Rev. Wright mess. Although I thought Obama's speech on Tuesday was just amazing, I would have liked him to completely distance himself from Rev. Wright, meaning I would have liked Obama to have thrown him under the bus.

The question now is how long Hillary will keep this thing going. It will only weaken the party going into November. On the flip side, however, a tough fight only makes Obama stronger going into the General. Think about this too: Barack Obama has defeated the largest, most well-connect and well-funded machine in the history of American Politics. He has beat a candidate who was 20 to 30 points a ahead of him nationally prior to his win in Iowa in January, and at least 20 points ahead of him in every state before the Caucus. It is simply amazing...

  2. Stick a fork in her.  She's done.

  3. No it's the Super Delegates...

  4. Hillary can win on the second round of balloting.  The delegates are committed to their candidate for only the first round of voting.  If Hillary can get enough people to be unavailable for the first round then no one wins and they have to go to the second round.  It used to happen all the time.  Send some delegates shopping, or out for dinner, or have them meet Alexandra Dupre and you can prevent the necessary number to win.
